Abstract Painting, Kandinsky

In this painting, we had to make a painting of any emotion. As you can see, it stands out, and this is a picture of power. Before we painted these, we made a small version on a small paper. After we chose our best painting, we made a bigger version of it, and as you can see, this is the bigger version of my art piece. I learned that colors make a gigantic difference to your work, and that color shows your emotions. For this art piece, I had to find out how to make an unknown shape, and make random colors to fit it. I have improved my powers of observation, when it came to making random shapes, and getting random colors to do it. In this piece, I mainly used my visualization to see how the colors fit, and how the shapes fitted together. While doing this project, I learned that dark and light colors together make a very good product. Kandinsky did an art work with different colors and odd shapes, and I followed him, but in different shapes and different colors.
If I were to used this in my everyday life, I would mainly use this in designing things, and now that I have learned that different shapes and compositions and completely different colors make a very nice product, and still meaning something when you visualize what is happening in the painting. I think I am going to use this a lot more in my future life if I am to become a designer.

Colors and Emotions

While I was doing my art work, I used oil pastels to help blend in the warm and cool colors. I learnt a very important skill, I learn how to blend, and how colors makes a big difference to your emotions. While I was working on this assignment, I learnt a lot of new things. I felt for one of the first times, that I actually wanted to make a good artwork, and I felt enthusiastic. While I was working,  I was a problem solver when it came to blending, because I learnt that blue and green together makes a great combonation. I was very satisfied with the final result, because after class I took a quick picture, and showed it to my parents, and they were surprised, and said that they should fraim it. I can't really connect this with any other subjects, but I can connect it to a real life situtation, example: artists use colors on peoples faces to describe their emotions.
